Therapy
I am a psychologist registered with the Colegio de Psicólogos del Perú. My therapeutic work has a psychoanalytic orientation.
I work therapeutically with adults, including people navigating life transitions or difficulties related to fertility. We can begin by talking about what you are seeking and whether working together would be helpful.
This is an individual therapeutic relationship. I offer a free introductory call online. We can use it to talk about what you are looking for, the practical arrangements and whether I am the right person to work with you. Sessions are available online or in person in London and Beaconsfield. Therapy sessions last 50 minutes.
Training and experience
- Foundation studies, Escuela de Psicoterapia Psicoanalítica Clínica y Aplicada (EPCA), Peru, 2004–2005.
- Foundations Course, Society of Analytical Psychology, London, UK, 2015–2016.
- Foundation Course, Institute of Psychoanalysis, London, UK, 2016–2017.
- First year of psychoanalytic training in adult psychoanalysis at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), New York, USA, 2018–2019. My training was interrupted by an international relocation.
I previously worked as a psychologist within the Équipe mobile OEJ–HUG, a joint team of Geneva’s Office de l’enfance et de la jeunesse and the Hôpitaux universitaires de Genève. The team supports the networks of professionals caring for children and adolescents with complex psychosocial difficulties, particularly when existing care arrangements are under strain. Its work includes supporting professionals in residential settings and foster-care networks, and helping the educational, social-care and mental-health services involved work together around a young person’s needs.
I am now the supervisor of the Équipe mobile OEJ–HUG.
Fees
I set my fees on a sliding scale, taking account of your financial circumstances. I keep a limited number of lower-fee places for students, key workers and people on a low income. If cost is a concern, please get in touch and we can talk about what may be possible.
Therapy here is not an emergency service. In the UK, call 999 if someone is in immediate danger, or NHS 111 for urgent mental health help. Samaritans are available on 116 123 if you need someone to talk to. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency or urgent healthcare service.
Before beginning therapy, we can discuss confidentiality and its limits, including circumstances involving safety or legal obligations.
A few lines are enough for a first enquiry. Please leave sensitive personal details out of your initial email.
