Who is responsible for your information

Dr Mónica Velarde Lazarte, trading as Socioanalytic Practice, is responsible for your information (the controller). Contact: admin@socioanalyticpractice.com.

Why we collect information

Your name and email address are used to manage your application, confirm registration and send access information and communications about the series. Background information helps us understand the social contexts represented within the group; it is not used to interpret individual participants or their dreams. We ask for your age and occupation. You may answer “Prefer not to say” to the other demographic questions.

Who can access it

Applications will be accessible only to Dr Mónica Velarde Lazarte and authorised people who need them to administer the series. An application copy will be sent to her designated Socioanalytic Practice email account. Hosts and publication collaborators will receive only what is necessary for their role, using summaries or material with identifying details removed wherever possible.

Dreams, associations and publication

The series aims to produce a publication exploring our shared inquiry, and taking part includes agreeing to it: once shared in the matrix, dreams, associations and images are offered to the matrix, and may be used, without your name, for the series and its publication, together with the photographs of participants’ environments. Published material will not name the contributor or connect a dream to their registration record. Identifying details will be removed or changed and material reviewed for the risk of identification. Other participants hear what is shared in a matrix. Everyone is asked to respect confidentiality, although we cannot guarantee other participants’ behaviour.

Photographs

Photographs of your environment, with their titles, subtitles and captions, are held in a private gallery for the organisers and may be used in the series’ publication, without your name or anything that identifies you. Your own photo (the picture of you) is used only inside The Territory, where others see it when your camera is off; it is never published. Please avoid other people’s private information and identifiable people without their permission.

The reasons we use your information

Where your information is kept, and for how long

Your registration, photographs and photo are kept on our server in the UK, which we call “Good Enough” (Hostinger, Manchester). Emails are sent through Google Workspace (Google), which may process them in Europe. Everything is deleted on 31 March 2027, 15 days after the last encounter. A record of the permissions you gave (your name, your email, what you agreed to and when) is kept separately, as proof of your choices, for as long as the publication needs it.

Emails about future events

Only if you tick the box, we will email you about future events of Socioanalytic Practice. You can stop them at any time by replying to any of them or writing to admin@socioanalyticpractice.com.

Your choices and rights

Optional consent (ethnicity, emails about future events) can be withdrawn by contacting admin@socioanalyticpractice.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. What you have shared in the matrix has been offered to the matrix and may still be used, without identifying you, if you leave the series. Once material is irreversibly anonymised, it may no longer be possible to identify and remove a contribution; publications already distributed cannot necessarily be recalled.

Depending on the applicable legal basis, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to use of your information. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
